Lizzie asks…Is passing blood clots outside of stool a symptom of hemorrhoids, if that person goes untreated for years?I've seen my doc, he's sending me to a GI specialist on Thursday. May have a colonoscopy. I'm not sure what a blood clot is supposed to look like, but the blood on my stool is formed together and occaisionally when I wipe, a "clot" is there on the paper. I've bled from hemorroids for years, but these clots are new. I'm just hoping I don't have anything worse than hemorroids.
