Hemorrhoid Ointment Uses

Donna asks…I have Chinese Hemorrhoids ointment, it stinks, maybe I used it wrong, is my anal cavity same as my anal-hole?I went to Chinese market and bought Chinese Musk remedy it's called Ma Ying Long, it says apply to anal cavity, as far as I know isn't that your a=hole? Do they mean on outside a=hole or stick it up into it? I put it on outside of hole and boy I stink.
